Iggy

Iggy came to us pretty scared. We gave him his space and the option to approach us once he was ready. We ignored him and went on with our day. When he chose to come hang out and even give us a kiss, we knew he was going to be a-okay as long as he could find a loving and patient home!
Iggy is active, silly, talkative, sweet and also both playful and bossy with dogs. He is really fun and also the fun police! Iggy is working on his house and crate training and both are going really well. He loves yummy treats and in times of being unsure or needing a nudge, liver treats do the trick!
The key things for Iggy’s success is that he gets a calm home life, he finds people that understand his need to approach on his own, and very importantly that he is not forced into social situations. A calm home doesn’t mean that he is not active though, as he will need play and exercise in his life. Currently, his leash skills are a work in progress so the fenced backyard is a must for potty and play breaks.
If you have the right home life to welcome Iggy, and are looking for a fun and funny little guy, he might be the guy for you. Bonus points if you are familiar with his breed!

He is not a candidate for dog parks so if these are important to you, please do not apply.
