Jerome could easily be Batman’s sidekick, with a face like that, leaping over dog beds and displaying plenty of heroic energy! He wants to be first in line for everything in life!  He is quick to investigate and needs a family to keep him moving, because a tired dog is a happy dog!  He loves playing with his canine foster sister and will greatly benefit from having another playful dog in the home which is why he requires one!  He loves exploring when he walks and a couple of walks a day would be just lovely to stimulate not just his body but his nose and brain too!  He will let you know about every exciting thing that he sees, because he is a bowl full of joy and happiness.

Jerome is food motivated and has been able to wait/sit for food treats.  He loves durable chew toys! Jerome would really benefit from structure in the home, such as a planned schedule to follow and expected behaviours, such as waiting to go through doors and sitting for treats.  He has no problem spending the night in his crate as this has become his “bat cave” where he gets his meals, treats and can hang out on his own.  He is house trained however being a puppy, a new environment might set him back initially and accidents may happen.  Once he knows how to ask to go out, it should be smooth sailing.

Preference will be given to applicants that will attend positive reinforcement classes.  A new puppy is a lot of work and we are excited to read about applicants who have thought through the time and financial commitment.
