Scottie, Scottie, SCOTTIE! This stunning guy is finally ready to find his forever home after finding himself in rescue after a traumatic injury. Scottie is a super sweet guy with SO MUCH (did we say SO MUCH) love to give?

Scottie is how can you say, “a bit extra”?! He is a bull in a China shop with absolutely no idea how big he is. Scottie has loved every single person he has met and will happily approach strangers on the street to say hello. Scottie is fully house trained and crate trained and is not able to be left loose in the home due to his giant-sized, puppy-like nature.

Scottie’s idea of a perfect day is lounging in the yard with a couple of balls and people by his side. He will happily sit outside and keep himself occupied for hours which is why a fenced in yard is much needed! He is still working on his leash manners as he does pull for exciting smells, greeting people or BUNNIES. Scottie does have a tendency to herd people while out on walks. He will need training and guidance to help with this behaviour, and we will ensure that Scottie’s new family has a session with one of our awesome trainers. His fosters have been working hard with him on appropriate leash walking but this is a work in progress.  Committing to going to a positive reinforcement training class would be an excellent idea for his new home.

Due to current provincial restrictions, Scotties ability to meet doggie friends has been very limited. He is very excitable and will only be a match for tolerant, playful and non-confrontational dogs who are similar in size. He is not reactive to other dogs on leash and is usually quite happy to say hello to other doggie friends. He is not a candidate for living with small animals as he has shown some chase drive during his time with us.

Scottie is a giant puppy and even after all the vet handling he’s needed during his recovery, he’s been nothing but a gentle giant. His favourite thing is to jump up and give giant hugs but he’s working on understanding this is not everyone’s favourite thing! Scottie has shown anxiety in the car and he thinks the best place for him is in the front seat. Unfortunately, this is not a safe option for him or his family. His forever home must purchase a gate for their car to keep everyone safe. Scottie is a joy, he brings so much laughter into the home and you’ll never stop smiling in his presence. He is a big dude with a big attitude and will need boundaries and structure with his forever family to be successful. If you think you are the perfect home for him, apply at
