Wilson

Introducing Wilson, the eye catching, water-loving Airedale mix. Looking for an adventure buddy? Wilson is your guy! He enjoys going for walks, runs, wading through water, and playing off-leash in his fenced in yard.

This energetic boy is ready for an active home where he can work on his commands and continue his training while burning his energy each day. While having not yet met cats in care, Wilson does have a high prey drive with squirrels, rabbits, and birds, so a cat free home would be best for this nosey nelly. Wilson has met horses and showed interest in play, so a country home with large farm animals may be suitable for Wilson, as long as he was leashed.

Wilson is still a puppy at heart and likes to follow the dopamine. He gets easily distracted by more interesting things, so a family willing to bring Wilson to training classes would go a long way for this youthful boy. We are looking for a home with excellent structure and routine to help Wilson become the best boy he can be.

Wilson is great with other dogs, but also enjoys his peace and quiet. Wilson may do well as an only dog in the home, or paired with other respectful and playful pups that can handle the occasional rougher play style. During down time, Wilson is a very affectionate and cuddly boy. Loving the attention, Wilson could live with older kids in the home.

He is house trained, and is working on his crate training to successfully be crated for short stints. Someone home more often for the start of his transition into his forever home would be a huge benefit to helping him improve his crate time. Car rides are one of Wilson’s favourite activities, along with chew toys and yummy bones.
