Maeve

Maeve is all about the tummy rubs, if you start to pet her she immediately rolls over to get those belly rubs. She also loves to chase bugs and you know with mosquito season here she is a busy girl keeping the house safe.

Maeve likes other dogs and could live with another dog or as an only dog. If she were to live in a home it would need to be a calmer dog who can understand her limitations. Maeve has not met a cat while in care, she would do best in a cat free home. Maeve requires a home with older, respectful, dog savvy children. Maeve is a medium energy girl, due to her disability she requires multiple short walks a day as opposed to longer walks. She will never be a candidate for a jogging partner or hiking partner unless her family is willing to carry her. Maeve can go up and down a few stairs but due to her disability she cannot do full flights of stairs, her forever family would need to be committed to carrying her up and down the stairs if she lives in a two story home.

Maeve is fully crate trained and mostly potty trained although she does not enjoy the rain so may have an accident during inclement weather. Maeve loves to wander around the backyard sniffing everything and likes to help in the garden by digging or starting a new garden in the lawn for you. She is easily forgiven when she gets things wrong with her adorable face. Maeve has a disability that will forever affect her but she knows no different and she doesn’t lets it show by zooming around the yard, trying to jump up for attention, and her overall love for life and her people.
