Hattie

Hattie is the sweetest little dog there ever was!

This amazing girl wants nothing more than to be with her people, getting love, scratches and cuddles!

Hattie is gentle, sweet and oh so cute! She can be shy at first and will need a little time to open up and get comfortable. But once she does she wants to be near you always. She will tap you with her paw to ask for pets and scratches and she will use her nose to guide your hand to exactly where she’d like them.

Hattie is a fairly low energy dog! Her favourite activities include napping on the sofa, napping on her bed, short walks around the neighbourhood and being with her people. She is gentle and easy to walk on leash and just enjoys getting fresh air and a few sniffs along the way.

Most of Hattie’s anxiety comes from being separated from her favourite people. Her dedicated foster parents have worked on this with her and with the help of some anxiety medications she is doing better. She is fully house-trained and non destructive at home. She can be left in her crate when no one is home for a few hours but she may be vocal in her crate before she settles and she finds this very stressful. She would prefer someone who is home more often with her but she can be left alone without being crated which she prefers.

Hattie currently does not live with other animals or children but we believe she would do well with both. She likes other dogs who are around the same size and energy level as her and although she has not met cats we believe she would do well with slow introductions. She has met children ranging in age from1 year to 12 years old and she is very good and patient with them. She can be cautious if she is approached too quickly so dog-savvy and respectful children would be the best fit for her.

Hattie loves car rides and is happy to head out with you on an adventure! She enjoys going for walks on trails and exploring new places.

Hattie is such a sweet, gentle and easy going girl! She has made so much progress with her anxiety and so we are looking for a home for her that will continue to support her and help her through some of the scarier things in life. She will pay you back in unconditional love, cuddles and wonderful forever companion.

Does your home sound like a perfect fit for this sweet girl?
