Tonya

Tonya is gentle, goofy, and full of charm. She loves to snuggle, stretch, and curl herself into silly shapes (earning herself the nickname “Slinky”). She’s medium-energy: always up for a walk or play session, but just as happy to curl up for a cuddle afterward. Tonya is fully crate trained and house trained, able to hold her bladder for a full workday without accidents.

Tonya adores other dogs. She plays and naps with the resident dog in her foster home and gets excited when she sees new dog friends on walks. She hasn’t been tested with cats or children yet, but her foster thinks she would do well with respectful, dog-savvy kids.

Outdoors, Tonya is still finding her confidence. She can be timid and easily startled in new environments, so she’ll need a patient adopter willing to guide her through the world at her pace. A quieter neighborhood would be a bonus, though she can adapt to many living situations such as apartment, townhome, or detached home.

Tonya can stay home alone for the workday and settles nicely in her crate. With slow introductions to animals and people, she blossoms into the sweetest companion.
