Hi everyone, I’m Melty! And yes, with one look into my mismatched eyes (one blue, one brown!), I guarantee I will live up to my name and melt your heart completely.
I am a stunning 4-month-old mixed breed puppy with a big personality and an even bigger desire to play. I am currently looking for my forever family who understands the needs of a bigger pooch and is ready for a fun, active companion.
Here is what you need to know about life with me:
* I am a Professional Player: My absolute favorite thing in the world is to play. I have puppy energy to burn and I need an outlet for it! I love toys of all kinds and playing with you is the best!
* The “Land Shark” Phase: I am currently in a very nippy stage. My puppy teeth are razor-sharp, and I use my mouth to interact with the world. Because of this, young children are not ideal. I need a family who can patiently work on my bite inhibition and redirect my sharp little chompers to toys. I am easily redirected and great at choosing toys, but sometimes toes and toys look the same.
* A bit of sass: If I want my way, I can be a little sassy about it. I need a handler who is confident and consistent with training. I am doing great learning to be in my crate and will nap quietly while my humans are busy. I do prefer being close by you whenever possible.
* Social Butterfly: I would absolutely love a home with another playful dog. Having a canine sibling to wrestle with would be a dream come true (and would help tire me out!). I can live solo and soak up all the love with puppy playdates as well.
* Active Lifestyle Required: I am not a couch potato. I need an active family ready for walks, hikes, and mental stimulation. Positive-reinforcement training classes are a big plus!
