Rosie

Sweet Rosie is such a special lady! She is looking for her fresh start in a calm home where she will be your devoted best friend and partner. Her gorgeous golden eyes and beautiful colouring will melt your heart, and make you question how it is that people haven’t been nice to her in the past. Your patience in winning her over and making her feel secure and loved will be rewarded with the cutest little “woo-woos” and bursts of play as she continues to grow her confidence and trust.
Rosie was found very thin after a serious run-in with a porcupine and she has taken quite some time to recover (the odd quill remnant is still working it’s way out!) and put weight back on. She is learning more and more how to be a dog every day. Big noises and sudden movements are still a bit scary, so are new people with deep voices. But she has come a long way and cuddles up to everyone in the house, though she does seem to have picked a favourite “person”. She loves all dogs and is amazing with every one that she has met, going at their pace, playing at their speed. She would love a playful companion in the house but she would also be totally happy as an only dog.
Rosie is perfectly housetrained and goes right into her crate (with some treats!). She loves playing with her toys and happily naps the day away. She seldom barks and is just happy to shadow her people, showing again and again how happy she is for her new life.  She does not like going outside alone in the yard and will need her person to go outside with her to play and encourage her.  It’s scary for her to be left alone outside!
Rosie has the perfect amount of energy for most tastes. She loves her walks – though a busy loud area would be too scary – and loves her forest treks to explore nature. If you like hiking or jogging, she would love to be your adventure partner for that too! She is great in the car too!  If you have the patience to help Rosie adapt to your home, keep learning that the world isn’t so scary and people will be nice to her, she will reward your tenfold with her loving demeanor and faithful companionship.
