Bubbles

Meet Bubbles, a sweet and gentle soul who is ready to leave his difficult past behind. Despite a very hard start in life, Bubbles has an incredible capacity for love and a heart that is truly “putty in your hands” once he knows he is safe. He is a short, stocky, beefy guy who is smaller than he looks but doesn’t quite realize his size, often trying to settle in as a world-class lap dog. Once he realizes you mean no harm, you will be greeted with endless affection and his signature “bum wiggles.”

Because of his history, Bubbles is exceptionally food motivated, and his tail goes a mile a minute whenever a meal is near. He can live happily with other dogs of a similar temperament, but he does require a separate space during mealtimes or with chews. This allows him to feel completely secure and relaxed while enjoying his food. While he is not a match for homes with cats, he would do well with older children who can respect his gentle nature as he continues to build his confidence.

Bubbles is a dream in the house and is perfectly content in his crate. He can be alone at home in his crate for a standard workday, though his favorite place is right by your side. He would make an outstanding “office dog” for someone working from home, as he is happiest when he can simply be near his people. After waiting a long time for a family of his own, Bubbles is looking for a patient, loving home where he will never have to worry about being hurt or hungry again.
