Walter

Walter (also known as Wally) is love, cuddles, sweetness, and pure joy all wrapped into one adorable little puppy. He is incredibly affectionate and happiest when he’s curled up in someone’s lap or snuggled in close with his people. Wally doesn’t discriminate when it comes to love — he will happily soak up attention from anyone willing to give it.

Wally currently lives with other dogs and absolutely adores them. If he’s not playing, you’ll likely find him snuggled up with his puppy friends, often resting his head or paw on them. He would thrive in a home with a doggy companion who enjoys playful puppy energy and cuddles. Wally has not been formally cat tested, but with his gentle and social nature, he may do well with a dog-savvy cat and slow introductions. Wally loves children but, like many puppies, can be a bit nippy during play, so he would do best with dog-savvy kids 6+.

Wally is still a young puppy and is learning about the world around him. He has lots of playful energy and enjoys wrestling with his foster siblings, exploring the yard, and even trying to “help” with workouts by climbing on you. He also loves funny little adventures like carrying items bigger than himself, climbing stairs (and then needing help to get back down), and eating snow.

Wally does not enjoy being alone and will need a home where he has consistent companionship, whether from humans or another dog. He does well when left with other dogs in a puppy-proofed space for several hours but becomes very upset if left completely alone. He would do best in a home where someone is around more often (work-from-home or hybrid) and can continue building his confidence and independence.

Wally is still working on his training, including potty training and basic commands. He is just starting to learn “sit” and will need a patient home committed to guiding him through puppyhood. He has mild resource guarding with high-value items, which is already being worked on and will require continued positive reinforcement.

At home, Wally’s favourite thing is simple — cuddles. Whether it’s with his humans or his dog friends, he is always ready to snuggle. If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate, playful puppy who will grow into a loving companion, Wally might be your perfect match.
