Auntie

We are pleased to introduce Auntie! This lovely lady is ready to find her forever home!

Auntie is a smart and sweet girl who is on the hunt for her perfect match! She will steal your heart with her gentle kisses and playful, silly nature.

Auntie is a medium/high energy girl who loves her walks, her backyard and the snow! She would love a family that is active and will prioritize her walks and exercise needs. Auntie loves people and her favourite thing is meeting new people on walks or when visitors come by! She is very insistent on being pet and cuddled and loves attention!

Auntie does have big feelings about dogs when she is on leashed walks and has some leash reactivity. She is also strong and will pull on walks so she needs a home who is dedicated to working further on her leash manners and her reactions to seeing dogs on walks. Her devoted foster family have been making progress with her in these areas and have been working with a positive reinforcement dog trainer. Preference will be given to adopters who are willing to continue this training with her.

Auntie loves kids but she can be over excitable so she would require a home with older, dog savvy teens. She also requires a home with a fenced yard because this girl loves to be outside! Even on the chilliest of days!

Auntie is house trained, crate trained and has been left in her crate for up to 6 hours while her foster parents are out. If you know anything about Huskies you know that they can be vocal dogs who love to communicate and sing the songs of their people. Auntie is mostly quiet in her crate but will occasionally let her howls be heard so for this reason we are looking for a detached home.

Auntie is good in the car and would love to accompany you on hikes and adventures!

Auntie is looking for a second chance at life! She has her quirks but who doesn’t? Most importantly this girl is so loving and loyal and deserves the very best life has to offer her! She might be a little more work than some dogs but the reward is so worth it! Could she be your perfect match?
