Meet Feta (aka Feta Cheese or Fetacinni!)

Feta is one funny, lovable girl with a gentle heart and so much love to give. When she first arrived in foster care with her sister, she was very shut down and unsure of the world around her. She spent most of her time in her crate, only venturing out with a little encouragement—especially if food was involved!

Since then, Feta has really come into her own. She’s now a happy, easygoing pup whose days are filled with naps, meals, and the occasional burst of zoomies that show off her goofy, playful side. She loves being around people and has started to show more of her curious personality, following her foster around the house, checking in on what’s going on, and being part of the daily routine.

As her confidence grows, Feta is spending less time in her crate and more time relaxing out in the home, showing that she’s learning to feel safe and trust the people around her. While her crate is still her comfort zone during quieter moments, it’s no longer the only place she feels secure.

Feta currently lives with her sister and another large breed dog and gets along great with both. However, she also enjoys being the center of attention and can get a little jealous when her sister is getting all the love, because of this, her foster family believes she would thrive as an only dog as well, where she can soak up all the affection from her people.
She is fully potty trained and does wonderfully in her crate for 8+ hours without any accidents. Feta is doing well on leash and is slowly building up her endurance, currently enjoying shorter walks while she gains confidence.

Feta is very food motivated, which will make her a great candidate for training. She can be a little persistent when it comes to snacks, so continued work on boundaries will be important—but her love of food will definitely work in your favor!
While she still has some timid moments and can be a bit more reserved around men, Feta continues to make steady progress with patience and kindness. Each day, she shows a little more of her sweet, silly personality.

Feta has come such a long way and is truly a special, low-energy girl who is incredibly easy to care for. If you’re looking for a calm, loving companion who will reward your patience with loyalty, affection, and the occasional goofy zoomie, Feta might just be your perfect match.
