Travis
Travis is an incredibly sweet and lovable puppy who is looking for the right dedicated family to help him gain confidence and truly blossom. He is a total cuddler at heart and absolutely loves to be close to his people. Travis is a smart cookie who genuinely loves to learn, making training a wonderful way to build a strong bond with him. He is already fully house-trained and walks beautifully on a leash in familiar settings.
Because Travis is still a young guy, he is very much a work in progress and needs continued structure from his humans. Right now, he has a lot of youthful energy and needs active help from his handlers to learn how to decompress, settle down, and find his “off” switch.
Meeting new people can be overwhelming for him so positive reinforcement and advocacy for his space is so important. When Travis feels nervous, his default reaction is to bark to create distance. He requires a confident, committed handler who will advocate for his space and guide him through positive, structured introductions so he can learn that new situations are safe.
Travis will benefit immensely from living with a confident older dog. Having a canine mentor to mirror will help teach him appropriate doggie manners and give him the confidence boost he needs to navigate the world. He really is a worthy best buddy!
