Franny

Meet Franny!

Franny is the definition of a Velcro dog. She is the sweetest, most sensitive girl who is still learning that the world isn’t so scary. She may be shy at first, but you can tell she is trying so hard to trust the people around her.

Franny is fully crate trained, fully potty trained, and does well on leash walks. She is currently crated during the workday and settles beautifully.

Franny is a people dog through and through. She is always looking for her foster mama and will search for her in a room full of people. On walks, she constantly checks in for reassurance, as if she’s asking, “I’m okay, right?” Sudden movements can still scare her, but with someone gentle and patient by her side, she is slowly learning to feel safer.

Franny currently lives with three other dogs and does well with them. She doesn’t care too much to play just yet, likely because she is still figuring out the world around her. She has also met cats and did not seem bothered by them. She is a very low-energy girl, especially for her age, though her foster mama believes there is a playful little side hiding in there. She will try to sneak a toy when no one is looking, but the second she realizes she’s been caught, she gets shy in the cutest, goofiest way.

Franny’s favourite thing is simply being near her person. She would love a quiet, patient home that can continue helping her build confidence at her own pace. She does not need another dog in the home, but she could live with one. More than anything, Franny is looking for a person or family she can feel truly safe with.

Because Franny is sensitive and can be startled by sudden movements, she would do best in a kid-free home or a home with respectful children 8+.

With patience, love, and gentle reassurance, Franny is going to become the most loyal, loving companion.
