Happy Feet
Happy Feet came into our care in a very sad state. He was skin and bones, and clearly had been suffering from neglect. When the shelter reached out, we looked for a safe spot for him right away. Aptly named Happy Feet, this little canine skeleton tappity-tapped all the way into our hearts. He has no idea at all that life was not kind to him, and if he does, he does a great job of not showing it!
You can probably imagine the kind of amazing soul this joyous boy has. He is a sweet, lovable goofball who shares his sunshine where ever he goes and charms every new person he meets into giving him love. But his happiness and charm does not end with people… he would happily live with a doggy companion who is fun-loving and tolerant, and who enjoys wresting and physical play as much as he does. He is a medium energy dog and would love a mix of play-time, walks, yummy treats, words of affirmation and cuddles throughout his day!
Due to his great love for people we’d like to see him go to a home where someone is around more often (he is happy in his crate for about 4 hours at a time so a midday break is required). Happy is a dog who would do well in a city environment, although he’ll need some reminding that not everyone loves to be greeted by enthusiastic dogs as much as he thinks.
Happy’s favourite activities are doing whatever you’re doing, even if that means a vet visit! Yes, he charmed the entire vet office at his last visit! Happy has a high pitched bark and can be noisy when he plays (no judgment Happy, we love you just the way you are) so apartment living is not an option for this handsome man.
Overall, this 7 year old gentleman is eager to find his forever people. He deserves the absolutely best home and we’re excited to see him start his next chapter full of love, pets and playtime!
