Fern
Fern is absolutely adorable and capable of stealing your heart with a single look, she’s also smart, curious, and just the right amount of mischievous.
Fern loves watching the world around her. Whether it’s birds, bugs, squirrels, people passing by, kids playing, or leaves dancing in the wind, she finds endless entertainment in simply taking it all in. She enjoys exploring and sniffing her surroundings before settling into a shady spot to quietly observe the world.
As she’s becoming more comfortable, her affectionate side continues to shine. Every morning, after she’s finished her morning business, she comes running over for her good-morning cuddles, pets, and affection. It’s one of those moments that will have you smiling and saying, “Awwww!” every single day.
Fern is more independent than some puppies. She’s not looking for constant attention, but she has a quiet sweetness that makes the moments when she chooses to seek you out feel extra special. She loves being part of the family while still having the freedom to do her own thing.
And yes, she has a hobby: borrowing socks! If you’re missing a sock, there’s a good chance Fern has claimed it as one of her treasures.
Fern is a smart girl who enjoys learning, especially when treats are involved. She already knows how to sit, shake a paw, and lie down. She’s beginning to recognize her name and is working on her recall skills, although sometimes there are simply more important puppy adventures happening at the moment!
She is crate trained and settles nicely at bedtime or when her people need to leave the house. House training is coming along well, though she still has the occasional accident as she continues to learn. Fern thrives on routine and does best when she knows what to expect each day.
Fern does display some resource guarding around food, treats, and toys, so her future family should be committed to continuing her training and helping her build positive habits as she grows.
