Todd

Todd is everything you could want in a puppy. He is sweet, lovable, playful, cuddly, and just the right amount of silly.

This happy little guy has never met a belly rub he didn’t love. One of his favorite things to do is dramatically flop onto his back and patiently wait for someone to rub his tummy. It’s impossible not to smile when he does it.

Todd is affectionate without being overly clingy. He’s fairly independent for a young puppy but will happily seek out his people when he needs a little reassurance or is ready for some cuddle time. He will easily form a bond with his new family and would fit into almost any home.

He has a low to moderate energy level and enjoys a nice balance of playtime and relaxation. His favorite activities include playing with his sister and other dogs, sharing toys, and curling up for cuddles after a fun day. He’s just as happy entertaining himself with a toy as he is snuggling beside his people.

Todd is mostly house trained and crate trained, happily settling in his crate for 3-4 hours when needed. He isn’t a fan of going outside in the rain, but otherwise his potty training is going very well.

He already knows sit and come, and he’s making great progress with his puppy manners. He’s comfortable having his paws handled, making future nail trims much easier, and continues to build confidence through positive experiences.

Todd gets along wonderfully with other dogs and cats and would thrive in a home with another friendly pet to play and cuddle with. While it’s unknown how he’d do completely on his own without his sister, he clearly enjoys canine companionship and would benefit from having another playful dog in the home.

He is comfortable around older children and rides well in the car. He has some mild resource guarding around food and toys, which is very manageable with continued training and appropriate supervision. If you need to take something from him, the safest and most effective approach is to trade for another item, like a treat.

The perfect family for Todd is one that will include him in everyday life, continue his positive reinforcement training, and give him plenty of opportunities to play, cuddle, and simply be a puppy. Another friendly dog would be a wonderful bonus, as Todd absolutely loves having a playmate.

If you’re looking for a charming, affectionate little companion with a heart full of love and an endless supply of belly flops, Tod may just be the perfect addition to your family.
