Bolt

Ladies and gentlemen, allow us to introduce the calmest, cuddliest couch potato in a big dog’s body: Bolt!

This handsome fella is basically the human version of your favorite hoodie: soft, comforting, and always right by your side. Bolt is your shadow (a very large, very sweet shadow) who follows his people around the house but somehow always manages to stay out of the way, despite being 70 pounds of pure love. Find him lounging on the couch in the silliest positions, snuggled up with one of his many, many toys (seriously, there isn’t a toy in the house he hasn’t destroyed with love), or gazing longingly out the window at the neighborhood birds and squirrels, his sworn nemeses.

Bolt is the perfect walking buddy!  Two good walks a day and he’s a happy camper. Add a Halti and he’s a dream on leash.

Bolt gets along beautifully with other pups, big or small, pushy or shy. He’s tolerant, gentle, and mostly just wants to sniff and vibe.

This big guy is a goofball at heart! He loves fetch, loves his toys, loves sitting outside just soaking in nature (as long as you’re out there with him).

Bolt is smarter than he lets on! He’ll sit for a treat and has excellent house manners, though he can be a bit stubborn when distracted. With a little training, we believe he could be an obedience star.

Bolt is a chill backseat driver! He settles right into car rides.

Bolt has some anxiety, managed with daily medication, and he’s not a fan of being crated. He’s not destructive and being crate-free and hanging out in a cozy living room suits him best. He’s never met a child he didn’t like, though given his size and jumpy greeting style, he’d do best with older kids and teens rather than little ones.

Bolt’s dream home is a single family, townhome, or country home with a fenced yard (preferred, not required) in a suburban or quiet setting. He’d thrive with a young adult or family who wants a fun-loving sidekick for walks, backyard playtime, and cozy nights in. He’s fine solo for a full workday, but he’d love at least one person to be home a little more often than not.

Bolt  is loyal, gentle, goofy, and ready to give his whole heart to the right family. He just needs someone to give him the stability he deserves and in return, he’ll be the best shadow you’ve ever had.
