Cobb
Cobb is an outgoing, confident little guy with a wonderful balance of independence and affection. He loves being around people and is always happy to check in with his humans, but he doesn’t need to be the centre of attention every second. If there’s something interesting happening nearby, Cobb is perfectly comfortable heading off to investigate on his own before circling back to see what his people are up to.
When meeting other dogs through his puppy pen, Cobb confidently engages them in play and is eager to make friends. Like many puppies his age, he currently believes his mouth is an essential social tool, so any canine companions will need to be patient with a youngster who may enthusiastically nibble his way through introductions. He has also been exposed to cats in his foster home and has paid them very little attention. A friendly, dog-savvy cat who can handle some potentially overenthusiastic puppy greetings may be a good match.
Cobb has been a quick study when it comes to keeping his living space clean. He caught on to using the litter pan early and has continued to use it consistently. Formal house training and crate training have not yet begun, so his new family should be prepared to start those skills from the beginning and help him make the transition from puppy-pen life to living in a home.
Although Cobb hasn’t started formal training yet, his confidence, curiosity, and interest in people give him a lovely foundation to build on. At this age, the world is one enormous classroom, and Cobb is ready to start learning. We’d love to see his future family continue exposing him thoughtfully to new people, places, surfaces, sounds, and experiences while using reward-based training to help him grow into a confident, well-rounded adult.
Cobb’s independent streak is one of his most endearing qualities. He enjoys affection and genuinely wants to be with his people, but he also has the confidence to explore without needing constant reassurance. He checks back in regularly before heading off on his next tiny adventure, making him a fun combination of social, curious, and self-assured.
If you’re looking for a confident, outgoing puppy who loves his people while still being happy to explore the world on his own four paws, Cobb may be the perfect addition to your family.

Additional notes
- Dogs: Yes, to dogs who will be gentle with little pups and tolerant of playful puppy nibbling, please!
- Cats: Possibly with friendly and dog-savvy cats. Cobb has paid little attention to the cats in his foster home, though he may attempt to greet a new feline friend with some playful puppy teeth.

- Housing type: Single or Townhome.
- Fenced Yard: Required for safe play in the city or a privately owned backyard green space for bathroom breaks.
- Special: Cobb is still very young and has not yet begun formal house or crate training, so he’ll need a home prepared for all the learning that comes with raising a puppy. He has been consistently using a litter pan in his foster home and was quick to figure it out, giving him a great foundation for future house training. He’ll need time, consistency, patience, and plenty of positive reinforcement as he learns the ropes.
- Location: We’re looking for a home in or around the Ottawa area, as this puppy still has outstanding veterinary care included in the adoption fee to complete at our veterinary partner in West Ottawa, which a new home will be required to attend.
- Adoption Fee: $900
