Oli
Oli is a joyful, curious, smart, and playful little guy who is still learning that the world is not so scary. He can be skittish in new situations, but with calm encouragement, he is brave enough to move forward and try.
He likes being around his people but is also fairly independent. He enjoys playtime, walks, cuddles, treats, being pet, and chewing on his favourite elephant plush. He is calm, adorable, and has a sweet personality that shines more and more as he becomes comfortable.
He has a moderate energy level and would do well with regular playtime, walks, and time to explore at his own pace. He is still working on leash skills and may pull at times, but he is learning.
Oli is crate trained and can stay in his crate for about 2 hours. House training is still a work in progress. He is doing well with pooping outside but still needs a pee pad about twice a week.
He already knows sit and stay, and is motivated by both food and toys. He is still learning how to behave around other dogs. Sometimes he ignores them, sometimes he barks, and sometimes he is unsure, so calm introductions and continued positive reinforcement will be important.
He has been stressed at the vet but listened well, and he is easy to handle overall. He does not love water yet, but this may improve with time and positive experiences.
Oli’s ideal home would be with someone calm, affectionate, and patient who will help him continue building confidence. He does not need a busy or overwhelming household. He needs someone who will meet him where he is, celebrate his progress, and help him grow into the happy, confident dog he is meant to become.
