Lily Bug
Lily Bug is a sweet little senior girl who is easy to please and happiest when she can be close to her person. She is affectionate, loyal, and loves giving hugs and kisses to the people she trusts.
She can be friendly with new people, but she is also cautious at first and appreciates gentle, respectful introductions. Once she feels safe, her silly side starts to show, especially when you play with her.
Lily Bug prefers to be with her person as much as possible and would do best in a home where someone is around often. She is not a dog who loves being alone for long periods, and she would be happiest with a person looking for a close companion.
She enjoys being outside, going for walks, and joining her people for car rides. She would do well with about 30 to 60 minutes of activity a day, broken into walks and outdoor time.
She knows to sit, stay, and come, and she has great leash manners. House training is still a work in progress, and she may potty in the house if she is not taken out regularly. Crate training is also a work in progress.
Lily Bug isn’t a big fan of other animals trying to interact with her. She can tolerate dogs as long as they respect her space and don’t attempt to play or crowd her. She has met cats as well, and while she didn’t react aggressively, she made it clear she doesn’t appreciate them engaging with her. Because of this, Lily Bug could live in a home with other calm, low‑interaction animals, for example, a senior canine companion who is content to coexist without expecting playtime. Lily Bug is a small, delicate senior girl who enjoys a quiet, predictable routine. She would do best in a home with older children aged 12+, who can understand her need for gentle handling.
The perfect home for Lily Bug would be with someone with a calm home life, who wants a loving little shadow to keep them company. She may be tiny, but she has a big heart and so much love to give to the right person.

To keep her comfortable long‑term, her adopter will need to keep her at an ideal weight, and avoid frequent stair usage and jumping off of couches / beds.
