Teddy

Teddy is a big, loving 5-year-old boy who is looking for his person and a life full of great missions together. He has a million kisses to give and more good-scratch spots than you can count, find the right ones and watch him melt. Even at 5 years old, he stays attached to your hip, though he’s just as happy entertaining himself when needed.
Teddy is very easygoing and happy-go-lucky, always ready for whatever the day brings, cuddles on the couch, sticking close in the yard, or a 10-hour hike, he’s up for it all. He checks in on his people and his home first thing in the morning and again before bed, and when his humans are feeling down, his high emotional intelligence kicks in, he’ll check on you and try to comfort you. Teddy dos well in his crate and will settle into a crate or room while you’re out.
He’s medium-to-high energy and does best with multiple walks throughout the day rather than one long one, plus off-leash fetch and sniffs when he can get them. He’s always looking for a job to do, so he might have some dog sport potential for the right family. Teddy loves walks, fetch, car rides, and keeping an eye on the wildlife in the yard, he handled an hour-long car ride like a champ, so longer trips are likely no problem either.
Teddy is house-trained and crate-trained, knows his basic obedience, and his house manners have come a long way, he’ll now let you eat your food without trying to steal it! He hasn’t interacted with cats. He lives well with a female dog housemate, though he does get a bit of FOMO, and he’s selective about male dogs in his space but with slow introductions, he’d likely be okay.
Around kids, Teddy is loving but big, he can knock little ones over in his excitement, so he does best with children under 10 who are steady on their feet, or with older kids. He’d thrive as a devoted companion dog for someone who can give him their focus and adventures.
Teddy is as handsome and loving as they come and will make the right family so lucky to have him in their lives! Could that be you?
