Jerry

Jerry is a sweet little dude with a big heart and a nose that is always ready for an adventure! He’s a friendly, smart and easygoing guy who loves being part of the action. He’s not shy and has a wonderful “I’ll try anything at least twice” attitude that makes him a fun companion.

Jerry currently lives happily with a small dog pal and does very well with him. He can be a little over-exuberant when meeting new dogs, so calm, leashed introductions are important. With the right introduction, he can absolutely enjoy having a canine friend.

Jerry is a medium-to-high energy dog who needs both physical exercise and mental stimulation. He absolutely loves scent games and is incredibly nose-savvy. One of his favourite activities is searching a room for hidden treats, and he could happily spend plenty of time putting that talented nose to work. He also loves playing fetch and going on walks, and his foster family is working with him on his walking manners.

At home, Jerry has good house manners and is both house trained and doing well with crate training. He can currently be left alone for about six hours, but his ideal home would have someone around more often or be able to provide him with a midday break. Jerry is a real people dog and would love a family who has plenty of time to give him attention, reassurance and, most importantly, cuddles.

He loves car rides and is always excited when a new adventure is on the horizon. His only complaint is that he has to ride in the back without getting cuddles!

Jerry would likely do well with a couple or a family with older children. He tends to choose a favourite person and happily sticks close to them, so his forever family should be ready for a devoted little shadow. He is still learning his basic commands, but he has a smart, willing personality and is sure to enjoy learning alongside his people.

Jerry’s ideal home will have a securely fenced yard, plenty of opportunities for walks and sniffing, and people who want a loving, playful companion by their side. If you’re looking for a cuddly little adventure buddy who will make you laugh, keep you company and happily put his nose to work for a treat, Jerry might be your guy.
