Ziggy

Looking for a little lover who will melt your heart? Say hello to Ziggy, a gentle, affectionate boy who believes every lap is meant for him.

Ziggy is a people person through and through. Kids, grown-ups, strangers he’s just met: he greets them all with a wagging tail, big kisses, and a hopeful leap straight into their laps. He’s been living with children ages 9, 12 and 14, and he adores them.

He’s every bit as friendly with other dogs. He shares his foster home with a large husky and loves every dog he meets. He’s an enthusiastic greeter and a great walker, with about 5 km of walking a day. Between adventures, you’ll find him racing around the fenced backyard in a burst of zoomies, then settling right back down for snuggles and naps. His foster family describes his demeanour as incredible.

Ziggy is a work in progress, like any good puppy-at-heart. He’s still learning house training (he’s improving significantly!) and basic commands, so he’ll need a patient family who will keep up the good work. He also enjoys chewing on children’s shoes and stuffed animals, so keep those tucked away. He’s never met a cat, so we can’t say how he’d feel about them.

Ziggy is quiet and does well in his crate when his foster family are out of the house. He has been left in his crate for up to 4 hours.

Ziggy would do well in a family who enjoys walks, snuggles, and continuing his training. He can adapt to an apartment/condo, townhome, single family home, or country home, in either a quiet or busy suburb.

Whoever welcomes Ziggy into their family will be so lucky and lavished with love.
