Calista

Calista is a sweet soul who is easy to care for and has simple pleasures in life. She is a nervous dog and will need a family who can be patient with her while she learns the ways of her new home. Calista has wonderful house manners and is quiet as a mouse in the home. She loves a good toy to chew on or a squeaky ball, the more ear piercing the squeak the better. Calista is very food motivated and that will be the way to this sensitive girl’s heart.

Calista loves dogs and requires another confident canine buddy in the home to help give her confidence and teach her the ways of the world. Calista does not live with cats and requires a cat free home. Calista requires a home with older children or no children as they overwhelm her. Calista is a low to medium energy dog, she likes her walks but would also be perfectly content frolicking in the backyard.

Calista loves her crate and is fully crate trained. Calista is potty trained but will have the occasional accident if not given the opportunity to go outside. Calista needs a home who can be patient with her and not expect too much from her at the start. She is nervous and takes time to want affection from people but she is food motivated and giving her treats will make her feel comfortable and bond. Calista has a very cat like personality, she loves to lounge around and play with toys and seek attention on her terms. She loves to go in the backyard and bounce and run around. Calista will make the most loyal and loving companion for anyone who is willing to take the time and patience it will take to gain her trust.
