Clarke

Clarke is a gentle, affectionate boy who has had a tough start but hasn’t let it dim his love for people. Clarke often gets told he looks like a Corgi and a Golden Retriever had a 16lb baby! Clarke is a cuddler through and through, he’ll happily spend most of his day close to his humans and has the sweetest way of nudging you with his paws when he wants more pets.

Clarke is easygoing, but he can also be a little stubborn, treats are the key to his heart (and his cooperation). He’s house-trained in progress, crate-trained, and sleeps peacefully in his crate at night. Because he’s still working on his name and some basic manners, he’ll do best with a patient family committed to helping him continue to learn and thrive.

He enjoys short walks, playtime, and even swimming, but he’s not a marathon runner. Clarke is happiest with moderate activity followed by plenty of couch cuddles. He currently lives with a cat and gets along fine, and with slow introductions, he could share his home with another calm dog.

Due to his past,  Clarke is still learning healthy boundaries with other dogs, but with people, he’s all heart – friendly, loving, and eager for attention. He hasn’t been tested with children yet, but given his affectionate nature, he’d likely do well with respectful kids.

Clarke’s ideal home will provide structure, patience, and, most importantly, love. In return, he’ll give endless snuggles, goofy moments, and the joy of watching a resilient pup blossom into the wonderful companion he’s meant to be.
