Copper

Copper is a playful, cuddly little pup with a big personality packed into a tiny body. Friendly, affectionate, and just a little bit bossy, she’s guaranteed to keep you smiling with her dramatic antics and confident attitude.

While Copper is very independent, she also likes to know what her people are up to. She’s happy to do her own thing, but you’ll often find her checking in to make sure she isn’t missing out on any fun. She bonds well with the whole family and enjoys being part of everyday life.

One thing you’ll quickly learn about Copper is that she’s a bit of a drama queen, and it’s absolutely adorable. Whether she’s stealing toys from her brother, convincing another dog to play, or dramatically expressing her opinions, she has a way of making every day entertaining.

Copper has a moderate energy level and loves spending her time playing with toys, wrestling with other dogs, and exploring her surroundings. She would thrive in a home with another friendly dog or pet, as she absolutely loves having companions to play with.

She is house trained and crate trained, happily settling in her crate for 3–4 hours at a time. It’s still unknown how she’d do completely on her own without her brother, but she has shown that she enjoys the company of other animals and would likely benefit from having another pet in the home.

Copper already knows sit and come, and she’s continuing to build on her puppy manners through positive reinforcement. She does well on leash and is making steady progress with her overall training.

When meeting new dogs, Copper can be a little protective of her food and high valued items, but this settles quickly as she becomes comfortable in her new environment. She should be fed separately from other animals in her forever home. Aside from this, she plays well with other dogs and enjoys sharing her days with canine companions.

She is comfortable around children, tolerant of handling, rides well in the car, and has all the makings of a wonderful family dog.

Copper‘s ideal home is one where she can continue learning, have another playful companion to burn energy with, and be included in everyday family life. Her affectionate personality, playful spirit, and entertaining little quirks make her an easy puppy to fall in love with.
