Daphne

Daphne is an exuberant and happy little girl, always excited to catch your attention.  You can tell she wants a life full of love and fun, and toys and treats.  And more treats.  And then cuddles.  Yes, lots of those last two, please!  She can be shy initially in new situations and around new people, so advocating for her and giving treats will go a long way!   She does warm up quickly with this recipe!
She loves to play and run around her fenced yard but only as long as she has a dog buddy or you by her side!  She is now learning to walk on leash, and this is a work in progress for the little one as her brain is very curious but also sometimes cautious.  Always bring treats along!  She would do well in a positive reinforcement doggy training classes.
She plays well with other dogs but does like to run around and be rough and tumbly,  so any dog in the home would have to be okay with this while also not being too rough.  She will benefit from a home that will provide her with lots of play, but also structure, as she does great knowing her schedule.
She loves to climb up for a cuddle after she has had a great play and is ready to nap.
She still needs lots of praise and encouragement with housetraining, and her person will need to ensure she gets frequent breaks outside.  We know she would love to spend her days with her people, maybe a retired couple or work from home (or hybrid) set-up.  She is good in her crate and can usually make it through the night, but will cry and bark when she needs out or hears a noise.
Daphne makes sure she always has time to love you and to be loved, too.  Oh, and treats.  Lots of time for those!
