Dory

Dory is a sweet little girl who wiggles and wotks her way into your heart.  She is shy in new situations but with her person and some good treats, she can be convinced that she’s in the company of friends.  When strangers first come into the home, she may bark and will need some confidence building.  Once she feels comfortable, this kid is just fantastic – kisses, cuddles and full appreciation for you.

Dory loves all dogs, big and small, as long as they are kind and playful.  She gets the zoomies and is very grateful to have canine buddies to play with!

She is in the process of being house trained and is catching on quickly.  This will need to continue in her new home.  Currently she is being crate trained to help with this, but we imagine she would much rather sleep with her people under the blankets.  She is such an amazing cuddler, and just suddenly appears like magic on your lap when you are sitting.  Working from home, she will happily become a warm lap blanket if you will let her.

Dory loves to play and enjoys life but she will need someone who can appreciate she needs baby steps as the big world, for her, is best digested in very small pieces. A busy home would be too much for her.  It is easy to forget she can be scared because she’s friendly and outgoing with her trusted people quite quickly.

Her foster mom thinks Dory is rather special, and hopes to find a wonderful home that will keep Dory well loved and happy by ensuring cuddles are always offered!
