Emma
Emma is a gentle, sensitive soul with a heart just waiting to bloom. When she first meets new people or finds herself in unfamiliar environments, she can be a little shy and timid, sometimes offering a few barks as she figures things out. But give her a little time, some tasty treats, and soft reassurance, you’ll quickly see her walls come down.
Once she feels safe, Emma transforms into the ultimate velcro dog. She bonds deeply and quickly with her people and becomes an incredibly sweet, affectionate, and happy companion. She loves being close to her humans and will happily soak up all the love, cuddles, and attention you’re willing to give.
Emma has a playful, joyful side that truly shines at home. She absolutely LOVES to play. Her favorite games are fetch, tug-of-war, and zooming around the house with her favourite toys. She has a medium to high energy level and thrives when she has opportunities to run, play, and burn off that happy energy.
The outside world can still feel a little overwhelming for Emma. Sudden noises, unfamiliar objects, and unexpected movements can startle her, so she’s looking for a patient and understanding family who will help her build confidence at her own pace. Because of this, Emma would do best in a home with a fully fenced yard where she can feel safe and secure while she plays and explores.
Emma currently lives with a dog-savvy cat and coexists well, making her a great candidate for a home with a respectful feline friend.
