Flicka is an affectionate little dog with lots of love to give!
Flicka is a busy body! She is always ready for an adventure, whether it’s a good walk around the neighbourhood or an adventurous hike. At home she loves to play fetch, chew on bones and will run full speed around the backyard. Since she is a high‑energy girl who loves her daily yard zoomies, a safe & enclosed space is essential for her to stretch her legs and enjoy her zoomies without risk. If her adopter does not have a fenced yard, they must have regular access to a private, secure outdoor space, such as renting a private play park (like Country Canines) or access to a friends / family members yard. If you do not have a fenced yard, please indicate on your application how you plan to safely exercise her.
Flicka gets along well with other dogs and cats. She would be happy with another dog in the home or as a solo dog. Flicka likes children, but sometimes gets mouthy when excited so would be better suited with older, dog savvy children.
Flicka is fully potty trained and crate trained. She may cry for a few minutes, but settles quickly and can spend a full night or work day in her crate. She currently goes in her crate for an afternoon nap at home.
Flicka makes a fantastic office dog! She joins her foster mum at work multiple days a week and spends the day sleeping in her desk chair. Flicka is doing well learning not to pull on leash and has great manners when it comes to passing people or other dogs. Flicka has no issues with car rides, long or short. She enjoys looking out the window and often falls asleep.
Flicka loves to chew, so having plenty of different toys to play with is important to prevent boredom. She loves squeaky toys, nylabones and treat puzzles.
Flicka is a wonderful, loving dog who would make a great companion for an adventurous person or family!
