Joel

Joel is a sweet little guy who can be nervous of strangers initially but warms quickly with some patience. He loves people and loves affection once comfortable with a person. Joel is happy to help his people get their steps in by going on walks and cuddling on the couch afterwards.

Joel likes other dogs, he would be happy to be in a home with another dog or living as a solo dog. Joel has not met a cat while in care, with a dog savvy cat and slow intros we think he could live with a cat. Joel lives with four older kids and enjoys the attention, due his nervousness we are asking for older kids in the home or no kids. Joel is a medium energy dog, he likes his walks and his short lived zoomies around the backyard. Once he is exercised he is happy to rest and chill and receive all the attention.

Joel is fully potty trained and crate trained, he currently is in his crate for 5 hours but can likely do a full work day. He does bark a little when his people leave the house but then he settles down for the duration of his crate stay. Joel is wonderful in the car, once the initial excitement of going somewhere new wears off he is curls up in a tiny ball and rests for the duration of the trip.

Joel is just a happy little guy. He loves playing with toys either on his own or with the other dogs in the house. This guy is a complete lover and is ready and waiting to love on his forever family.
