Junna

Junna is a small mixed-breed female with a big heart and an even bigger love for snuggles and snacks. Junna is ready to find a forever home where she can continue building her confidence and would do wonderfully in a quiet, patient home.  Initially shy, if given time and understanding, she reveals her playful, curious side — complete with zoomies, sniff-filled walks, and a love of rolling in grass (though she can’t always guarantee it’ll be the clean kind!). At home, she’s an affectionate shadow, always close by and happiest when snuggled up against her person.

She’s a true Velcro dog and will thrive with a family who enjoys having a constant companion. She has a medium energy level and enjoys daily walks, food puzzles, and cuddling. While she doesn’t quite understand fetch, she loves enrichment activities that involve food, including Kongs, snuffle mats, and treat-stuffed toys. In terms of training, Junna is crate and house trained.  She knows basic commands like “sit,” “wait,” and her name, and she’s especially motivated when treats are involved.  Squirrels and rabbits are major distractions outside — so her recall is unreliable and she must remain leashed. She can pull on leash when something catches her attention, but she’s learning with patience and practice. She’s also good for nail trims and, while unsure about baths and car rides, she handles them calmly and without fuss.

Junna gets along well with polite, respectful dogs and enjoys a good game of chase. She has lived and played comfortably with both small and large dogs. Junna does well in quieter environments and is currently thriving in an apartment setting where she doesn’t bark excessively or show signs of separation anxiety. While she can make it through a full work day, she would love someone who can sometimes provide a midday break.  Another playful dog in the home would be lovely, too.

Junna is still learning about personal space and may climb onto your lap or lean against you without hesitation — but if you’re looking for a warm, loving companion to cuddle with, Junna is more than happy to oblige. In the right home, Junna will be an incredibly loyal and affectionate companion. She’s looking for a family that will treat her like the valued family member she s.
