Keanu is a sweet and sensitive boy who loves his people. He can be overwhelmed in new situations, but once he feels comfortable, he is the picture of goofy love.
This tall boy is a heartthrob – the kind you’d post up posters of him on your walls! He hones in on his people like a cuddle-seeking missile when couch time is happening. He’s the best cuddler. He is a great best friend for someone looking for a heart-dog because he goes well out of his way to make you feel loved. If you are not free for a cuddle though, he will gladly accept the love and cuddle space of another pooch. This is why we feel he needs another tolerant and playful dog in the home. He loves to have a buddy by his side and loves to wrestle and play in the yard.
When Keanu hit a fear stage, he also hit a good-time-to-learn stage, and he’s really food motivated. He learns quickly and is a pleasure to work with. He will need a human who will advocate for a go-slow approach when meeting new dogs and people. When done with care and his sensitivity in mind, he makes friends and shows up for play and love!
Keanu is crate trained and does well with a yak chew, or frozen goody when left, but he sometimes protests which makes attached living more of a challenge. He is learning leash skills, and bringing along treats really helps! He’s such a great boy to train, cuddle, play with and love. We know his perfect home is out there and waiting to find him!
