Lisa

Lisa is described as a goofball and has her family laughing constantly. Although shy at first, Lisa warms up very quickly, she attaches to her humans and becomes a very cuddly companion. She is very big on laps and will cuddle up with her humans any opportunity that she gets. Lisa is also very playful and strong willed which can lead to some stubbornness but she is eager to learn and always ready for a treat.

Lisa loves dogs, sometimes too much. She loves to play and wrestle and cuddle her dog friends but she sometimes doesn’t get the cues that they are done playing. If she were to live with another dog she would need a confident, playful buddy in the home. Lisa lives with cats and loved them, she loves to cuddle them and play with them. Lisa would require dog savvy cats in the home. Lisa has not met many children but due to her shy nature she would be best in a home with older dog savvy children or no children. Lisa is a medium energy dog, she loves her walks and to run and jump on the snow piles. She may have agility abilities but she can also be clumsy falling off said snow piles.

Lisa is potty trained and crate trained, she does have some separation anxiety which is perfectly handled by the fluoxetine. She will whine initially in her crate then settle down for the day while her people go to work. Lisa knows the commands sit, lay down, and paw and she is currently working on finessing her house manners. Lisa would love a family who can continue her training and confidence building through positive reinforcement. Lisa does well in the car and does fine for long periods of time.

Lisa needs to be reminded that she is not a superdog and that some ledges do not need to be approached although try and stop this girl from parkoring off the hill. Once Lisa trusts you, her safe space is always next to her humans, if you are looking for a lap dog, look no further because Lisa has got you covered!
