Loon
Loon is a social butterfly who seems to love everyone she meets! Whether she’s cuddled up on the couch or exploring the great outdoors, Loon’s playful demeanor and affectionate nature make her an easy addition to any home. Loon would love to join a home with other pets but absolutely needs to go to a home with at least one other friendly and playful pup. Loon loves other dogs almost as much as people but she can be a bit shy and defensive at first when meeting new canine pals. Lots of positive reinforcement and good experiences will help her overcome her hesitation when she’s out and about and a slower introduction to any new housemates will ensure a smooth and long-lasting transition. Loon is quick to recover when given the right support and has made many canine friends big and small. Loon’s sweet and gentle nature also makes her a great addition to a home with kids of any age.
Loon’s playful antics and mischievous charm add an extra dash of cuteness to her already irresistible personality. Despite her smaller size, she possesses a tenacious spirit that makes her all the more endearing. That said, with tenacity comes intelligence and this pup is one smart cookie. She would love a home willing to take her to puppy classes so that she can be the smartest dog on the block.
Loon is still learning her essential skills such as crate training and potty training. She has become much more comfortable in her crate but is unable to tolerate being in it for extended periods. Instead, Loon prefers to be confined to a room or safe space when left alone. Loon still struggles with the occasional accident but as long as she is kept on a schedule, she is very easy to manage. She has made major progress in the last month and is able to sleep through the night without having to go out for a potty break.
Loon is an active pup who has the drive and endurance for longer adventures but also has an excellent off switch. She absolutely loves to play ball or go for trail walks but is also just as eager to cuddle on the couch. Loon also knows many of her basic commands and has excellent recall. While she would love a fenced yard to run around in, a home that is willing to provide her the right amount of exercise and mental stimulation is most important.
Loon is looking for a family that is willing to invest the time and effort into ensuring she becomes a healthy and happy adult. Her ideal family is one that that is on the active side and interested in taking her on adventures, going to puppy class and giving her the love and attention she deserves.
