Mack

Mack is a very affectionate and touchy-feely kinda dog.  He will jump up to you and use his paws to for attention – asking you to keep on petting him lovingly and when he wants to squeeeeeze in beside you into that little space on the sofa.  He loves giving and getting kisses.
Mack is crate-trained and house-trained.  He is quiet in his crate as he waits for you to come home.  He is an interactive dog and prefers not to be left alone outside so would benefit from someone looking for a best buddy.  His foster mom takes a stroll around the yard while Mack runs off his morning zoomies.
He has been known to be a collector of sorts, so if you’re missing a sock, mitten, or Tupperware lid, best check his bed for misc items that don’t belong there.
Mack is a medium-energy dog, prefers a fast paced walk and exhibits good leash manners.  He loves long walks in the woods or on the street.  With a little extra space and caution, he is getting used to people walking towards him, and acclimating to general movement & noises while out and about.
Mack is a quiet pup, generally shy, and he tends to associate mostly with his preferred person(s) in the home (aka his best buddy).  Mack tends to be more shy around men, showing slow progress as his foster mom continues to work positively with him.
He is hesitant meeting new people but with some time & patience, once he knows you,  it’s all fun and you’re an accepted part of his pack!  Mack would love to have another dog-buddy in the house,  his confidence will grow as will his comfort with new people.
Mack loves little tennis balls, hard chew toys and squeaky stuffies to play tug of war.
Mack lives with multiple dogs and is a great playmate to all.
Mack loves his regular walks, doesn’t care about inclement weather- once he’s got his coat on he’s good to go!!  And like most short-coated dogs, he loves to be warm – sunbeams and being under blankets are the best.
He is very curious and cautious and he may take a little time to accept visiting a new environment.  Mack is fine being handled by his people, picked up/ carried.
Mack is looking for a family that can support his growing confidence and continue to gradually expose him to new adventures with someone he loves and trusts.
