Magic Mike

Mikey is now ready for his forever family. Do you love the big lap dogs, the play-hard, nap-hard type? Mikey could be the one for you!

This goofball enjoys spending time with his humans and meeting new people. He has done well with slow and controlled introductions with new dogs, but does need some confidence building through his people’s guidance.  While he has lived with another dog, he tends to focus more on the play than ensuring a good balance between fun and chill. As such, we believe that Mikey would do best as an only dog in the home, with opportunities to play with canine friends that tolerate a rougher play style, during the week. When excited, Mikey uses his voice, so a neighbourhood where some barking is okay is required.

Mikey is crate trained and house trained. He is a medium energy (but strong!) boy and enjoys multiple walks per day and chewing on durable chew toys!  In the evenings, Mikey knows how to snuggle up and clock in some zzz’s.

Mikey has so far only met kids on leash, but has done well with toddlers up to teenagers, and would do well with a family willing to continue these positive interactions with him. In moments of excitement, Mikey is all in, so preference will be given to families willing to bring him to
obedience training so we can see Mikey become the best big dog he can be!

Mikey is a big fan of car rides and would like to accompany you on all your adventures!
