Maybelle

Maybelle is a sweetheart who just wants love. She will be her person’s shadow, following you from room to room waiting to be noticed so she can ask for pets and love. When Maybelle isn’t searching for attention and love she is exploring the backyard and sniffing all that she can.

Maybelle loves dogs and would do well with another playful buddy in the home. It is not required but if she is a solo dog she would love playdates with doggy friends. Maybelle has not met a cat while in care, with slow intros and a dog savvy cat she could potentially live with a cat. Maybelle loves attention but she is working on not jumping up for it, for that reason we are asking for older dog savvy kids in the home. Maybelle is a medium energy dog, she loves her walks and with practice she could be a jogging partner. Maybelle loves to use her nose and explore new areas, she would love a family who can bring her on outdoor adventures.

Maybelle is crate trained and can be in her crate for a full work days. Maybelle is working on potty training and it’s going well, she is a very quiet dog and she doesn’t always let her foster family know she has to go to the bathroom so sometimes she has accidents. Maybelle can be nervous in new situations and she takes a lot of comfort in her people, she will need some confident boosting and a family who is willing to be patient with her and to give her confidence. Maybelle loves playing with toys, she loves the hard chew toys in particular and balls although she is still learning the concept of fetch.

Maybelle has a big heart and only has eyes for her people. While she may sometimes be insistent on her desire for attention you can’t help but love this little dog who just wants to be in your presence.
