Oscar

Oscar ain’t no grouch!  He is one happy and playful puppy.  When he first meets people or dogs out and about, he sometimes barks, but this is short lived when treats are involved and he makes friends quickly after his initial barks.  He does need a human to advocate for him, and help him be the bouncy and adventurous boy when he is out of the home, as he already is in the comfort of his home!  He is amazing at just hopping up next to his humans and asking gently to be included in cuddle time.  He gives the nicest puppy kisses, too.
He is working on his house training and doing well as long as his people remind him to go to the bathroom instead of jumping straight into play! He is doing well in his crate and keeps it clean over night.  He is working on his leash manners, but this will need to continue in his new home – be sure to bring treats on all walks because Oscar is a food-loving guy. Being super food motivated means Oscar will be awesome with positive reinforcement training!  Smart boy!
Oscar loves to play with other friendly dogs in a fenced in space, and will hold his own when other dogs get too pushy.  He is an active boy but once he is tired, he will happily chill out and cuddle up next to another dog if his people are busy.  He really does love to feel loved and will make sure you know you are much loved, too.
A puppy is a lot of work so please do include in your application your plan to help your puppy be the best he/she can be and be sure you have the time and commitment to bring a puppy home.  Hint: we will be prioritizing homes committed to take their new pup to positive reinforcement training classes.
