Ruby

Ruby is a sweet and playful girl – she loves to fetch (and will even put toys away in the toy basket when she is done!) and loves to wrestle and race with her foster fur sibling. She will also happily keep herself entertained with toys or a chew.

Ruby is learning to walk well on a leash and loves to explore outside, sniffing out new things. Ruby is a medium energy dog, but after a walk or some play time, her favorite thing of all is cuddling with her people and being a lapdog. Long afternoon naps are a daily staple. Ruby loves dogs and would enjoy another furry friend in the home, but doesn’t require one as long as she gets walks and play time with her people. Ruby has not had much exposure with cats, she would do best in a cat free home. Ruby has lived with a child and loves the attention, her gentle and kind demeanor makes her a great candidate to living with dog savvy children.

Ruby is crate trained, she will whine initially upon going in her crate but will then settle. She is in her crate overnight and is accident free. Ruby is fully house trained, she consistently asks to go out when she needs to. Ruby requires someone home more often to continue with her training and keep her company. She knows how to sit for a treat and is a quick learner. She would love a family to bring her to positive reinforcement training classes to further her obedience training. Ruby does extremely well in the car, either in the backseat with a seatbelt or on someone’s lap, she goes right to sleep.

Ruby is fiercely loyal to her family, when she picks her person she will follow them to the ends of the earth.
