Santos

Santos can be summed up in 3 words: LOVES HIS PEOPLE!

Santos has waited his whole life for people to love him as much as he loves them. His entire world revolves around being close to his humans and he can sing a mournful song when left alone. Because of this, Santos requires detached housing. He has come leaps and bounds during his time in foster, and with continued reassurance that his humans are coming back, he has settled down more quickly every day. Santos will require someone who either works half days or can commit to a midday break. Santos would be a great dog to bring to the cottage, camping, hiking etc, he is just so happy to be with you in your company.

Santos will put his head on your shoulder, stare into your eyes and instantly bring a smile to your face. He has such a sweet temperament and just wants your love and attention. He loves to snuggle and makes a wonderful little spoon!

Santos currently lives with a dog-savvy kitty and 2 other dogs and does great with all!  An easy-going playful dog would be the best kind of pal for Santos. He loves to run around the fenced backyard and smell all the smells! His nose is always going a mile a minute!

Santos is a medium energy dog, but is very good at keeping himself entertained. Despite being born in Barbados, he loves playing outside in the snow! He is very intelligent and would benefit from mental stimulation and scent games.

Santos is still working on his crate training but prefers his humans close by as much as possible. Santos is still perfecting his potty training but has been learning that going to the bathroom outdoors equals praise, his favourite thing. Santos is learning commands and is very intelligent and learns quickly.

Santos loves the great outdoors and would absolutely love to join you on all your adventures!
