Smiley

Smiley’s name is so fitting for him! This sweet boy loves to smile when he’s around his favourite people!

Smiley is medium energy guy who LOVES his time in the backyard! He prefers yard time to walks but his fosters still give him one good walk a day to try to work on his leash manners and exposing him to new dogs. He is a big boy who can pull on leash and he has some selective dog reactivity. Positive reinforcement and treats work well to distract him. In the yard, Smiley loves to play fetch, run with his people and play with his many toys!

Smiley loves hard and for this reason he can have some anxiety when he’s not around his people. He does ok in the crate however as long as he has something yummy in there with him like a frozen kong. He might whine a little bit when he first goes in but he’s always quiet and relaxed when his foster’s return.

Aside from fetch, Smiley’s favourite activity is cuddles and snuggly movie days with his people! He loves to curl up beside you and burrow his head into you for pets and cuddles. Smiley is a big lover!

Smiley does well on car rides and loves to have the window down. He does have some resource guarding around other dogs so for that reason we recommend a no dog home for him so he can have all of your love and attention!

Smiley is a gentle, big guy who would love a home (and yard) of his own! Do you need a few more smile’s in your life? If so, Smiley is the man for the job!
