Sunny

Sunny definitely lives up to his name with his sunny disposition, which is constantly commented on by many who see him out for walks in the neighborhood. He a very affectionate and goofy tripod. He is a social guy who loves to curl up and take long naps anywhere, with anyone! He is a happy camper, very food motivated and loves being in the car. He loves going for walks (which can be start-stop, as he takes breaks often as a tripod).

Sunny is respectful and patient with other dogs in the home, he would do well living as an only dog or with another dog in the home. Due to his bulldozer play style, he would do best with a dog similar in size who can handle his enthusiasm. Sunny has met a cat while in care and was interested in being friends, though the cat was not interested. He would do best in a cat free home, or with slow introductions with a dog-savvy cat. Sunny has lived with very respectful children but he loves people, he would do well living with older dog-savvy children who can accept his energetic play in short bursts. Sunny is a medium energy dog, he currently gets several short walks a day and lots of back deck sun-bathing time. He is happy to get his energy out by chewing on a favorite bone.

Sunny is fully crate trained and potty trained. He knows the commands sit, paw, and crate. Sunny is very happy to follow his people around the house or relax on his bed or the couch during the day, he is an easy going guy. With Sunny being a recent tripod he may struggle a bit going down lots of stairs, though his recovery has been extremely smooth. He would do best in a home with minimal stairs.

Sunny’s favorite things are going for walks, napping, belly rubs, saying hello and playing with his foster siblings. You can’t help but fall in love with his infectious smile.
