Sunny

Sunny may look bigger in photos, but at just 20 lbs she’s a perfectly portable bundle of joy. She’s an easygoing, playful girl who loves being part of the action and checking in with her people throughout the day. Whether she’s squeaking her favorite toys, playing fetch, or watching the world go by from the window, Sunny brings warmth and happiness wherever she goes.

Sunny is fully house trained and crate trained. She sleeps in her crate at night and settles well when left for up to six hours with a toy and a treat. She has excellent house manners, doesn’t beg at the table, and politely waits for an invitation to join the fun (though she may sneak a kiss or two if given the chance).

She enjoys long walks and appears to be an excellent running companion. On walks she’s focused and all business, preferring to keep moving rather than stopping to socialize. Sunny loves to meet other dogs and is generally eager to play. She has lived with dogs before but would also be happy as the only dog in the home.

Sunny is gentle and drawn to children, and she is non-reactive and comfortable around cats. She loves car rides and travels beautifully, happily looking out the window or curling up to relax.

Sunny would thrive with an active individual or family who wants a loyal companion and can give her time, affection, and engagement. A detached home with a fenced yard is preferred. She would not be suited to being crated all day, as she truly loves being with her people.

One small note: Sunny has a fear response to stick-like objects. Awareness and gentle handling are all she needs.

Sunny is a wonderful cuddler, a natural mood-booster, and the kind of dog who will brighten your days and keep you smiling. She’s ready to find her forever home.
