Todd

Todd is a sweet but shy guy who takes a second to warm up to people. He loves scratches and being close to his favorite people. He likes to play hide and seek with shoes and boots when he thinks people aren’t looking.

Todd loves any dogs he meets, he will happily approach and engage in play with the other dogs. He would prefer a home with another buddy in the home to play with but also teach him the world isn’t so scary. Todd has not met any cats while in care, we are asking for a cat free home for him. Todd lives with children and does well, he would do fine with older dog savvy children. Todd is nervous of new things, he requires a family to go slow and be patient with him as he learns that the world isn’t so scary. Todd will likely be a medium to high energy dog as he grows up, he currently doesn’t like his leash and prefers to stay at home which he has deemed his safe space.

Todd is fully crate trained, he enjoys his crate and thinks of it as his safe space. He will voluntarily go into it to nap or to relax during the day. Todd is mostly potty trained, he will need someone to continue with his training through positive reinforcement. Todd is not an affectionate guy, he loves people who he deems is safe but he is content to just be around his people. Todd is a low maintenance guy who is looking for a family who can boost his confidence and show him the world isn’t so scary. Todd does well in the car, he is nervous at first then settles nicely.

Todd is a wonderful guy full of love and potential, he likes to play hard to get with his affection sometimes but he is a loyal and sweet companion. He loves to wrestle and play with his fur siblings. He takes a second to warm up to people but his foster family promises he is worth the wait.
