Valkyrie

Valkyrie (aka Val) is a little ball of energy. She will come flying over to meet and say hi to any new person or dog she sees. She is still working on her manners and needs her people to help manage her interactions with others.  A home that has lots of patience to help her learn and grow would be awesome. Val would enjoy and benefit from taking some positive reinforcement training classes! She is a very curious girl and likes to explore new things. She’d also have a lot of fun participating in dog sports.

Val loves to play with toys but loves them more if her people would join in, too! She’s working very hard on being gentle but still has sharky puppy teeth! She would enjoy another dog in the house as long as he/she has the patience for a puppy and as long as the dogs are supervised to ensure they are getting along.

Valkyrie is a work in progress on leash, and would appreciate your patience as she figures out what leashed walks are all about.  This means bringing lots of treats to help her learn and gain confidence, too!

She’s doing well with her housetraining but may have accidents in a new home. She may have a little accident when excited or nervous in new situations. Valkyrie is crate trained but does complain at times, so she is not suited for apartment living.

Val likes to “talk” when playing or wanting attention from you.  This means her people will need to work on structure and positively reinforcing the good behaviour and ignoring the other stuff.  She will sometimes bark at animals and sounds on television or that she sees out the window. Valkyrie is not a quiet pup in that she will throw her toys around and drop them off the bed or couch to make a big crash and then bounces off to greet her toys again. She’s definitely a fun dog eager to find adventure with you!
