Wendall
Allow us to introduce you to Sir Wendall Cavendish, aka Potato! This little guy has so much personality and it is so much fun to see his goofy personality shine through now that his past medical neglect has been resolved. A dental helped him feel so much better after being left at the shelter with a rotten mouth, and his eye ulcer has also cleared up thanks to his vet team and foster family! He feels like a billion bucks!
When you come home from a day of work or even a short trip to the mailbox, you’ll always be greeted by a smiling boy. A toothy grin is his go-to whenever he is happy. He only has his upper canines left in the front, so he resembles a cute little vampire – aka Count Wendell-a! The Count is an expert cuddler whether on a couch or in a bed. When he first arrived, he was insecure around the other dogs, but now this spunky boy loves to bounce around with his canine siblings in the home. Because he is a distinguished lil guy, he would do best with a canine buddy who also prefers the finer things in life, such as a nice stroll in the park, a tasty treat and a comfy spot to curl up. He isn’t much into crazy play and puppy energy.
Wendall is not just a handsome fluff, he has some substance to him. He knows sit, down and paw, but is not so great at stay. You see, he prefers to follow his people and be included in all of their adventures, even if that adventure is just doing laundry and you need some moral support. Got some life issues, or heartache? His big ears make him a great listener and those beautiful eyes and soft fur will heal your soul.
Wendall is looking for someone who will take the time to get to know him and give him lots of grace. That someone will be able to see what a gem he is, and help him continue on his journey to health and happiness so he can leave behind the pain and sadness he felt when left at the shelter. He loves his walks and with the nicer weather, he will be able to lose a little weight. He can be a little nervous in some new situations and he will need cheerleaders who positively reinforce his bravery. Once he feels safe, he’s so very happy. We believe that based on his condition when he came into care, he would be best suited to a single adult or couple in a calm and loving home.
This little sophisticated spud is excited to meet you!
